PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Important for everyone planning to travel by train: From July 10 to August 14, the RE1 from Berlin will not operate between Berlin and Fürstenwalde, which also means there will be no service to Frankfurt (Oder). Based on previous experience, the replacement bus service takes around two hours for this section of the journey.
Alternatively, you can take the RE7 from Berlin Ostkreuz to Königs Wusterhausen, then change to the RB36, which will take you all the way to Helenesee. The journey takes around 1.5 hours. You can also choose one of the many alternative connections listed on this page.
Expect busier trains and slightly longer travel times, especially on Thursday and Friday.
BIKE
Rückenwind e. V. is once again organising a group bicycle tour from Berlin to Helenesee this year. Your luggage will be transported by van – all you need is a bike and the desire to cycle around 100 km – you can also join the ride in Erkner or Fürstenwalde! Coming from Berlin, you can take the A10 or A12 to Frankfurt (Oder).
On the A12, take exit 9-Frankfurt (Oder)-Mitte and turn right onto the B112 towards Eisenhüttenstadt. Follow the B112 for approx. 4.2 km and then take the exit towards Lossow/Helene See/Kieswerk Lossow. Take the third exit at the traffic circle and follow the road for approx. 2.3 km. Then follow the festival signs from the car check-in.
